Rem Survival Wiki

Clans group players together in Remnants, allowing them to share the use of objects as well as know when others are online. Clan functions are accessed from the "Clan" screen, which can be accessed by pressing your InGameMenu button (which defaults to ESC).

Creating a Clan[]

When you first visit the Clan menu, you will be presented with the opportunity to create a clan. Click the orange pencil icon next to Clan Name and enter a name for your clan. Next click the "Create Clan" button and in a moment your clan will be created with you as the leader (indicated by the yellow crown next to your Remnants' username).

Inviting Other People to Your Clan[]

To send an invitation to another user, you must be able to see the other user in-game. Once you are looking at another user (and you can see their username floating above their head), press and hold the Interact key (which defaults to E) until you see the message "Invitation Sent".

The receiving user will get a notification just above their health bar on the in-game HUD. The recipient must press their InGameMenu button (default: ESC) in order to accept this invitation. They must do so within 60 seconds, after which, the invitation expires and must be resent.

Promoting Clan Members[]

Clan members can be promoted to one of 10 ranks within the clan by using the "Set Member Rank" function. Select that from the dropdown at the bottom of the clan screen, then select a user from the list of members, and finally enter a rank next to the "Set Member Rank" dropdown and press "Confirm".

different rank members have different permissions for example to be able to build member rank needs to be above 5.

Additionally you may abdicate your position as leader by using the "Promote Member" function. Select a member to become the new clan leader from the list, and click confirm.

Leaving Your Clan[]

You can leave a clan at any time by clicking "Leave Clan?" at the bottom of the clan screen. Experiments show that this delivers ownership of the clan to one of the remaining clan members (presumably one of the highest ranked).

Disbanding Your Clan[]

It is unclear how to disband a clan that has members, and a clan with a single member is de facto disbanded when the last member leaves, as there is now no longer a way to invite others to it.

Bugs[]

There appear to be several bugs related to clan membership.

  1. The clan message of the day may not be available for editing (no orange pencil appears) until the owner of the clan quits the game and rejoins.
